The ICSE curriculum has divided in to 25 learning chapters. The chapter map with 25 such blocks represents the syllabus for the entire year and has been created as per the board guidelines.
The chapters are designed in line with learning strands relevant in subsequent grades. There are 12 such strands for LKG: Animals, Connecting People, Drama, Earth and space, Language, Living Things, Living Together, Materials, Measurement, My Body, Position and Space, Science in Everyday Life. The blocks represent a mix of core development areas for a child: Language, Maths, physical, creative, knowledge & understanding of the world and personal, social & emotional development.
Each chapter represents a week of teaching and contains reference content in form of picture dictionaries phonics readers, stories and rhymes and corresponding worksheets in the student Application workbook.
Based on the listening outcome the teacher can capture the observation levels of each child and evaluate them on concept and skill based learning for every chapter by the performance indicator.
